What is changing?

All Crown Rewards Members are now required to have a valid Crown Rewards Membership Card to continue to play on Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs).

You can update your Membership Card at any Crown Rewards desk during opening hours.

A valid Membership Card is one where you have;

  • Verified your identification, with a current form of physical Acceptable Identification,
  • Added a photo to your Membership Card,
  • Set your time and loss limits and signed the Time & Loss Self-Declaration form,
  • Updated your contact details to be able to receive monthly Player Activity Statements.

These measures are being taken to ensure safer, more accountable and enjoyable gambling experiences for all our members and guests and will allow Crown to better detect and prevent any potentially fraudulent or unsafe activity to your Crown Rewards Membership.

If you are not yet a member but would like to play on Electronic Gaming Machines, please visit a Crown Rewards desk to start the process.

What do I have to do to update my Membership Card?

Simply visit a Crown Rewards desk with a current form of physical Acceptable Identification to start the process.

A Crown Rewards team member will assist with the below steps to issue you with a valid Membership Card;

  1. Verify your identification,
  2. Take your photo,
  3. Show you how to set your time and loss limits and have you sign a Time & Loss Self-Declaration, allowing you to take more control over how you play,
  4. Update your contact details, so you can receive Player Activity Statements. We recommend you provide a personal, current email address to receive the statements directly to your inbox.

How do I add a photo to my Membership Card?

The Crown Rewards team is here to help. Our team will take your photo and issue you with a new Membership Card.

The Crown Rewards desk operating hours vary, please check the opening hours here

If you are a Crown Rewards Silver or Above Tier Member you can also visit the Riverside Room reception to update your Membership Card.

If you are a Crown Rewards Gold or Above Tier Member with Pearl Room access, you may also visit the Pearl Room reception to update your Membership Card.

I forgot my ID; can I use a photo instead?

Unfortunately, a photo is not an acceptable form of identification. Please see the list of Acceptable Identification here.

Do I have to have my photo taken?

Having a photo on your Membership Card is a security measure to prevent anyone else using your Card.

We understand some people don’t want their photo taken, but it is a requirement to play on Electronic Gaming Machines.

What is a ‘time and loss limit’, and how do I set mine?

You are required to set a weekly time limit and loss limit that suit your style of play. You can set or adjust your limits at any time by visiting a Crown Rewards desk.

The limits you choose are entirely up to you and should reflect your personal financial circumstances. A useful starting point is considering how much you can comfortably afford to spend on gambling each week.

Weekly limit cycles begin at 6am every Monday. If you reach your time or loss limit during a weekly cycle, you will be unable to play EGMs until your limit resets at 6am the following Monday.

If you wish to increase your loss limits, a 7 day cooling off period will apply, provided you do not reach your current limit within the same weekly cycle in which the cooling off period ends. If you do reach your current limit during that cycle, you will be unable to play EGMs until the following Monday at 6am, which will extend the time before your new limit becomes available beyond the standard 7 day cooling off period.

If you choose to decrease your limits, the change will take effect immediately. However, if your current limit has already been reached, the decreased limit will take effect after a 7 day cooling off period.

Weekly time limits cannot exceed 28 hours. This forms part of Crown’s commitment to player safety and to supporting responsible and enjoyable gaming practices.

For additional guidance, the Crown PlaySafe team is available onsite 24/7 and provides a range of online resources and tools, including the Discretionary Income Self-Assessment Tool, to help you make informed decisions about your gambling behaviour.

What is a Time & Loss Self-Declaration form and why do I have to sign one?

When setting time and loss limits, it is a regulatory requirement that you also sign a Time & Loss Self-Declaration confirming that you have taken your personal financial circumstances into account, when setting your limits.

Do I need a valid Membership Card, if I want to play Table Games?

At present, you do not need a valid Membership Card to play Table Games or Electronic Table Games.

If you are already a member, you should visit a Crown Rewards desk to update your Membership Card regardless of where you intend to play.

If you are not a member, it’s recommended you join Crown Rewards to make your gaming experience safer and more accountable.

I am visiting the Casino for the first time; do I need a valid Membership Card?

If you are intending to play Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs), you will need to join Crown Rewards and have your identification verified, your photo added to your Membership Card, set your time and loss limits and sign a Time & Loss Self-Declaration and provide contact details to receive Player Activity Statements later in the year.

How long does it take to update my Membership Card?

The process will take approximately 10 minutes,  and the Card can be used straight away.

Please be mindful that wait times may differ depending on the time and day you visit.

What is a Player Activity Statement?

Player Activity Statements (PAS) provide you with a monthly summary of your play on Electronic Gaming Machines and help you keep track of time spent, as well as wins and losses for the period of the statement.

So that you can receive this important information, we request you to provide a personal, current email address as part of the process to update your Membership Card.

You will receive monthly statements direct to your inbox if you have provided your email address. They will also be available to view on Voucher Issuance Kiosks (VIK) or at a Crown Rewards desk.

The distribution of Player Activity Statements is a result of changes to WA Government legislation, requiring Crown to provide these to members monthly.

I have a Crown Rewards Card from Melbourne or Sydney, will it work in Perth?

In order to play Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs) using your existing Membership Card, you will need to visit the Crown Rewards desk to;

  • Have a photo added (if your Card doesn’t already have one), and
  • Set time and loss limits for the Perth Casino.

Can I use somebody else's Membership Card to play EGMs?

Using another person’s Membership Card is strictly prohibited. Any misuse of a Membership Card may result in action being taken on the membership.

I am visiting from overseas. Do I need to register for a valid Membership Card?

Yes, if you wish to play Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs), simply visit a Crown Rewards desk with a current form of physical, Acceptable Identification to start the process.

Can I sign up on behalf of someone else or share a Membership Card?

No, you cannot sign up for a valid Membership Card for anyone else. Your Membership Card is personal.

Each person who wishes to play Electronic Gaming Machines at the Casino must hold their own valid Membership Card verified against their personal identification.
