Executive Chef, Sean Marco
Acclaimed Chef Sean Marco brings over two decades of global experience to his role as Executive Chef of Perth’s most luxurious hotel, Crown Towers Perth.
Sean has played an integral part in Crown Perth’s culinary team and has influenced hundreds of apprentices and chefs at the resort. After playing an instrumental role in the planning and organisation of Crown Towers state-of-the-art kitchens, Sean now leads a team of over 200 chefs to deliver an unparalleled dining experience for local and international guests. This includes catering for more than 3,200 diners per night at the Crown Ballroom as well as overseeing Epicurean’s impressive first-class kitchen and banquets team.
Sean grew up in Dorset, United Kingdom and completed apprenticeships in France and England. Throughout his career, he has worked alongside some of the best in the business at renowned hotels including the Ritz and Michelin starred Connaught in London, and restaurants on the French Riviera including the 3 starred Michel Bras in Laguiole and the Hotel Martinez in Cannes, as well as the Ritz Hotel in Boston, USA.
Winning accolades such as the British final of the prestigious Prix Pierre Tattinger Cooking Competition and voted WA’s best Chef by the Restaurant and Catering Industry Association in 2010. Sean leads his team by example and encourages them to enter competitions to assist in developing their skills and future careers.
Adding to Sean’s impressive list of career highlights, in 2012 he was inducted as a member of The Chaine des Rôtisseurs in Brisbane, and under his mentorship and guidance, one of Crown Perth’s Commis Chef’s that year, won the national Chaine des Rôtisseurs Jeune Commis (Junior Chef) competition that same year.
