It was another RECORD-breaking weekend at Telethon, with Crown Perth again proudly donating $2.5 million to support the children of WA.
This year’s donation takes the total amount donated by Crown to a staggering $10 million since becoming a Million Dollar Partner of Telethon in 2010.
Crown’s “Cash Cow Millions” saw some of Channel 7’s favourite personalities compete in a series of fun challenges to raise money over the Telethon weekend, with a final cheque presented to Telethon by Crown Australian Resorts CEO Barry Felstead.
Mr Felstead said the Crown team look forward to being a part of Telethon every year and adding to the excitement through their famous challenges.
“It's clear that Telethon’s dedication to improving the lives of kids in WA strongly resonates throughout the community and it's an absolute privilege to be able to support such an important cause, especially in a way that makes everyone smile.
“Each year I am blown away by the generosity of our State and I’d like to congratulate the entire Telethon team and all of the volunteers for achieving such an outstanding result.”
This year saw over $25.8 million raised in support of children’s charities and organisations throughout WA, bringing the total raised since the first Telethon past $200 million.
