Ryan Ebbs – Biography

Newly appointed American Head Chef Ryan Ebbs brings more than 10 years of experience within busy, upscale operations to The Merrywell kitchen.

Notably, Ryan oversaw the modern Mexican fine-dining concept at Dos Caminos, Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City. His most recent work at premium Cuban restaurant Alma de Cuba in Philadelphia further solidified his experience in combining Mexican and Latin-fusion cuisine.

Throughout his career, Chef Ryan has cooked for an impressive line-up of celebrities including Jay Z, Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs, Jamie Foxx, Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton and Michael Jordan, to name a few!

Chef Ryan has worked his creative magic on The Merrywell’s menu, with his unique additions launching this Saturday, 4 July – the perfect way to celebrate Independence Day!

Perth diners can look forward to his twist on ‘dude food’ favourites and brand-new concepts, including the ‘Charcola’ Burger, Broken Sushi, Mo-Lamb Chops, Pork Ribeye and Cornbread, amongst others.

Gretel Packer, Chair of the Packer Family Foundation, today announced the latest Indigenous education program partners to be supported through the Crown Resorts Foundation and Packer Family Foundation’s $200 million National Philanthropic Fund.

The Crown Resorts Foundation is committed to providing opportunities for young Indigenous Australians. Supporting Indigenous education programs is a key priority of the $200 million National Philanthropic Fund as we work towards eliminating Indigenous disadvantage in Australia.

The Indigenous education organisations selected as partners were chosen for their commitment to work with parents and communities to establish the trust and sense of security that enables children not only to benefit from a consistent school-based education but to thrive in such a setting.

The Crown Resorts Foundation and the Packer Family Foundation would like to congratulate the successful Indigenous education program partners: Australian Indigenous Education Foundation; Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience; Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation; Aurora Indigenous Education Foundation
– The Aspiration Initiative Academic Enrichment Program; Clontarf Foundation; and Mt Druitt Street University – Noffs Indigenous Schools Project.

Alasdair Thompson – Biography
Modo Mio’s Head Chef, Alasdair Thompson, leads the talented kitchen team at this esteemed Italian restaurant.
Perth-born Alasdair studied Genetics before pursuing his passion for cooking, achieving his culinary qualifications at Southern Cross University and developing his expertise at renowned restaurants including Mundaring’s famous The Loose Box.
Chef Thompson has received invaluable mentorship from his predecessor Andrea Tranchero (Modo Mio’s award-winning former Head Chef) as well as Alain Fabregues of Bistro des Artistes and The Loose Box fame.

Crown Perth is proud to announce Bistro Guillaume, Nobu and Rockpool Bar & Grill Perth have been recognised in the prestigious ‘World’s Best Wine Lists 2015’.

Congratulations are in order for Guillaume Brahimi’s famed French restaurant, Bistro Guillaume and Neil Perry’s Rockpool Bar & Grill Perth, which were each awarded a three-star rating. Crown Perth’s premium Japanese restaurant Nobu, co-owned by esteemed Chef Nobu Matsuhisa and Robert De Niro, was awarded a two-star rating.
In addition, Rockpool Bar & Grill Perth received the ‘Best By-the-Glass Wine List in Australasia’ award.
Crown Perth Chief Operating Officer Andrew Hill said, “To be named in the world’s best wine lists is an incredible honour and testament to the fantastic beverage offering we boast at Crown Perth. Congratulations to all of the teams involved in achieving this prestigious accolade.”
The World’s Best Wine Lists 2015 Awards are presented by leading publication The World of Fine Wine. The awards were judged by a panel containing some of the world’s leading wine critics and masters of wine from around the globe including Alder Yarrow, Elin McCoy, Ch’ng Poh Tiong, Andrew Jefford, Andreas Larsson, Francis Percival and Tom Stevenson.
The judges assessed over 4,000 wine lists from restaurants around the world, with criteria including the breadth, depth, interest, quality, value, organisation and accuracy of the list.

The Multi-Level Car Park at Crown Perth is now open - park for free during June!* - 03 June 2015

Parking at Crown just went up a level!

Crown Perth has opened a brand-new Multi-Level Car Park with an additional 1,500 parking bays designed to make your experience even easier.

This new facility, located off Glenn Place, provides parking over six levels and includes a number of ACROD bays located on the Ground Floor and Level 2.

Special features include an open air pedestrian bridge on Level 2 and handy coloured level indication.

Customers can access the resort via two exits from the Multi-Level Car Park:

  • Casino access via a pedestrian bridge on Level 2 (18+ Only), and
  • Ground floor access via the Food Court or Riverside Entrance.
In keeping with the resort's luxury finishes, the exterior facade features dynamic silver and champagne panels which have been designed to simulate movement.

Parking in the Multi-Level Car Park is valid for 24 hours at the daily rate of $15.00, and special Crown Club member rates apply, with a $5.00 daily member rate for seniors.

For the month of June, all visitors can enjoy free parking when entering the Multi-Level Car Park prior to 6pm, whilst selected Crown Club members will receive free parking at all times.

Visiting Crown has never been easier, with a total of 5,400 parking bays now available at the resort, including paid parking and free parking options.
