There are a number of free and confidential counselling and support services available for individuals experiencing problems with their gaming:
Gambling Help WA: Gambling Help WA is a division of Centrecare. It is a not-for-profit organisation delivering a wide range of counselling services across Western Australia. All counselling staff are experienced professionals with qualifications in psychology, social work or other social science disciplines. Both gaming counselling and financial counselling are available through GHWA and are free of charge. Gaming counselling can assist you in recognising the reasons why you may be gaming and counsellors can assist you in strategies to control your gaming. Financial counsellors can assist you in managing debt and budgeting your finances. All counselling through GHWA is also available for family members affected by their loved ones problem gaming.
Gambling Help Online: Gambling Help Online is operated by Turning Point Alcohol & Drug Centre. They have been a treatment service for problem gaming since 2000 across many states of Australia. For further information and support via chat or email please visit their website.
Problem Gambling Helpline: The Problem Gambling Helpline is a 24-hour confidential telephone counselling and referral service for anyone who would like to know about gaming related problems and how to deal with them.
